Seeking to musically explore a mindful relationship with music, spiritual practice, and the self-healing arts, veteran Spotted Peccary artists Howard Givens and Madhavi Devi (Cheryl Gallagher) have delicately traversed the subtle sonic wonderlands of the electronic-ambient form with their new release, Source Of Compassion. Seamlessly morphing from live studio recording techniques to multi-instrument choreography of modular and analog synths, digital synths, samples, and acoustic elements, the album’s six tracks manifest this intention by mostly exploring the more meditative nature of electronic music.

Givens / Madhavi Devi are well versed with this form of ambient electronic music, each having dedicated many years to this style, while refining their expression of it through their previous works such as Tibet and Life Flows Water. These two seasoned artists seamlessly merge their melodic and structural approaches to composition, balancing the serene with occasional intensity, the pastoral non-rhythmic, with evolving pulses and beats, while drawing on the heart-mind energy that inspires the collaborative space and is at the source of spiritual discovery.
